I am so sorry to hear of Andrew’s passing. He was my boss at Pru Securities in Newark in the late 90’s. He was a great boss and human being. Caring, kind, drama-free, level headed….always smiling. He was wonderful to work with and know. I am saddend to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.

Andy was a very sweet man. He always made our family very comfortable when we came over for holidays. Easy to talk to and always smiling, laughing and witty humor. We wish for strength and healing to his family at this difficult time.

Andy Varley was one of those people you were always happy to run into. He was generous, easygoing, and fun to be around. I’ll never forget him taking my son and me to our first NFL game — and, of course, the tailgating, which Andy clearly treated as an event all its own. We spent plenty of time on the sidelines watching our daughters play soccer and grow up, sharing laughs along the way. Lots of good memories. Sending peace and love to his wife, Bernadette, and his daughter, Ciara.

I’ll always cherish the memories of being a kid with Ciara and sitting in on conversations between my parents, Bernadette and Andy at the dinner table. I was always impressed by Andy’s intelligence and sense of humor. My family and I will miss him so much. Sending love to the entire Varley family.

Dear Bernadette, Karen, Robert, Ciara, Patrick, Sandra, Dan and your beautiful children: Andy was a beloved man who cherished his family more than anything else. He was so proud of all of you and he cherished the time he got to spend with you. Andy was a warm and wonderful friend, always the first to provide compassion and kindness when needed, and warm laughter to any gathering. No words can express how much he will be missed by those of us who considered him a treasured friend.

Dear Bernadette, Karen, Robert, Ciara, Katherine and all the Varley family, My deepest sympathy on the passing of Andy. I am honored to call him my friend and I will truly miss him. He was always so kind to me and we had so many good times together. He never hesitated to listen to any concerns I had. He was a wonderful friend. I am so glad we had years of memories, especially our times in Lake Placid. I will miss you Andy. Rest in peace. Life will not be the same without you. Love, Kathleen

To Bernadette and Karen and Robert and Ciara and Katherine and all of the Varleys I am so very sorry of the loss of Andy. He was a great man and taught so many things to so many of us. I have had the privilege of calling Andy my dear friend for over 25 years. He was some one I always looked up to from the day I met him - when we went out looking for daycares for our precious babies Avery and Ciara. May Andrew’s memory be a blessing.
