Obituary of Lucille LaBarbera

Lucille LaBarbera, 90, passed away August 6, 2025, with her family by her side.

Lucille was born December 6, 1934, in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Rose and George Stise. She was a proud resident of Bloomfield, New Jersey.

Lucille worked as an executive assistant at Mikasa. She loved her family above anything and everything and provided them with summers in Lavallette with memories they will cherish forever.

Lucille is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick LaBarbera; daughters, Darlene Lopanik and her husband Bruce Lopanik, and Cheryl Gangemi; grandchildren, Chris Lopanik and his partner Lauren Stroh, Andrew Lopanik and his wife Ashley Lopanik, Sara Marino and her husband Robert Marino, and Richard Smarth and his dog Stevie; great-grandchildren, Chase Marino and Adeline Lopanik; sister Dolores Pettoni; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She lived a beautiful life and will be missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services and entombment for Lucille are being held privately for her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting Lucille’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
