Obituary of John Pezzino

John Pezzino, of Hopatcong, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the age of sixty-six.

John is survived by his two sons, John J. Pezzino & Angelo Pezzino; one sister, Carol Marino and her husband Joe; and several extended family members and friends. 

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Pezzino. 

John was born in Newark on May 6, 1959 to the late Angelo and Caroline Pezzino, and was raised in Bloomfield. He has resided in Hopatcong for over twenty-five years. 

Before retiring, John was self-employed as an electrician. He was extremely talented and could fix anything, and he was also a great cook. 

John was a kind and caring person, known for his generous heart. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. John loved his family deeply, especially his sons who he was very proud of.  

John was a parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Hopatcong. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club of Hopatcong.

John will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he Rest in Peace. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation for John to be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.

Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 followed by Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Those who wish to attend the mass virtually may do so by visiting www.svmnj.org

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
