Phyllis was always positive and smiling. We were on a group trip to Ghana when Phyllis plugged in her hair curlers a 110 volt in a 220 volt socket and set her room on fire. This remained a funny moment and one of my favorite memories of her. She will be missed.

Love and Light to Phyllis’s entire family. Phyllis was my friend for over 50 years. We had so many enjoyable times when we were in college and kept the friendship intact up until her passing. She was filled with grace… one of the most gracious people I’ve ever met. We had great conversations about travel and shopping and family. I am blessed to have had her as a friend.

It still does not seem real that Phyllis is gone. I still have “schedule lunch date” with Phyllis on my ”to do” list. The last time I spoke with her, we agreed to set aside some time. I’m so sorry I believed we still had time. I will certainly miss her beautiful smile and our times of reminiscing.

Phyllis was a very kind soul. She was funny and quick with a joke. I always looked forward to seeing her whenever we would attend the fundraisers for Age of Awareness. I would look forward to seeing her at the NJEA Convention each year attending with Linda in Atlantic City as well. So sorry for your loss Linda and Jojo, but you gained another guardian angel.

Phyllis will be truly missed. I remember when our families met back in the 90’s and it was a special bond from the start. Phyllis was always a beautiful soul with a calm, loving spirit and willing to lend a kind word or helping hand whenever she could. It was a blessing to have her in our lives. It’s no wonder why she was this way because the entire Johnson family is the same. Love you Wendy and Linda and sending my love and prayers to the rest of the family. Rest well Phyllis.

I will really miss Phyllis! She had the kindest and gentle soul. She was always concerned with the plight of her fellow man. She always made you feel comfortable and she always wanted to make sure that you were having a good time whether on a trip or in her home. She was nurturing woman of God.She and her sisters were a source of comfort during my husband's battle with cancer.
