Obituary of Patricia A. Argentino
Patricia Ann Argentino (née Soltys) was 77 when she passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. She was born in Elizabeth on April 8, 1947, to the late Frank and Mary Soltys (née Job). She attended the College of St. Elizabeth and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
At Chubb Insurance, she met her husband, Vince Argentino, to whom she was happily married for 30 years. They were world travelers, embarking on adventures across Europe and setting sail on breathtaking cruises. Pat had a long career as a manager at insurance companies, working for Atlantic Insurance Company until her retirement. For much of her life, she was a resident of Madison, NJ and enjoyed time at her second home in Conway, NH.
Pat is predeceased by her beloved husband Vince Argentino in 2007 and sister Helen Koenig of Casselberry, FL. She leaves behind her brother Theodore Soltys, brother-in-law Jack Koenig, and 6 nieces and nephews, Debbie Huttenhower, John Koenig, Bill Koenig, Carol Tarrant, Rich Soltys, and Joe Soltys. She has 5 great nieces and nephews. Though Pat and Vince never had children of their own, they adored their nieces and nephews and treated them like their own children.
Pat was incredibly kind, tenacious, and quick-witted, well known for her one-liners. She had indelible strength and warmth that never wavered and was always there for her family and friends. She travelled widely – from the waters of Fiji to the hills where Scotland’s highland cattle roam – but always found beauty in her own backyard. Pat loved hydrangeas, theatre, British literature (Harry Potter and Jane Austen), and a classic scoop of ice cream (even in the wintertime). She had a special fondness for miniature schnauzers; her dogs Snookie and Belle were her constant companions.
She wears the title of “coolest” Aunt. Though her sparkling humor will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace.
Services for Patricia are being held privately for her family.
