Obituary of Michael E. Maykish

Michael Edward Maykish will always be a fixture in our lives. He passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at Morristown Medical Center on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. But left a lasting impression on everyone he touched. He missed his dear departed wife, Josette, who was waiting for him up in heaven to be reunited forever.

He will be mourned by all his children: Barbara, Michael, Richard, Patricia, Lynn, Carrie and Barry - and his two devoted brothers- Joe and Gene who always remained close. Along with his granddaughter, Lily, who he held in the deepest affection.

Michael was an accomplished businessman as the owner of Best and Globe Plating and Polishing Companies in Newark for many years. He had a natural eye for detail and took tremendous pride in his work. Earning him the respect of the community for his many great shining achievements. A man who will always be missed by his friends as well as his family and the people he saw every day.

Though we know he is resting in peace for the love and the joy he gave all of us.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, to be held at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison.

Interment will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison.
